::Just what you need if you have a budget and want a clean centric place to all, bathroom very clean and the water pressure in the shower was perfect after a hot long walk.

::Actually quite nice hotel in respect to rooms and cleaness. Located in not very safe area Lapa but Rio in general is not safe. Have breakfast included.

::Humble yet very efficient. All your basic needs are met. Comfortable and charming enough rooms, very friendly helpful staff, good breakfast and great location if you're looking for a downtown scene in the middle of Lapa and next to Santa Tereza. Excellent value even has a pretty nice little pool and sauna. Kudos for restaurating the historical building.

::Rooms are clean and nice. For the area, the hotel is far superior to the surroundings. It is on the outskirts of the Lapa district. About 4-5 blocks away is the nice part of Lapa, so you have to walk through some more local or sketchy and quiet areas. Not my cup of tea. Across the street is a hardware store and market. There are two local corner restaurants that are open air for locals. Just be aware that at night and especially on weekends, be sure to take taxis to avoid any concerns.
