::I paid for an upgraded room, but received a standard room upon checking in. I had to argue for 15 minutes about this issue before they relented and gave me the 'right' room. Rooms are abysmal. Cooking staff here do not wear masks around the food. I found this to be dangerous and unforgivable. How to trust the hygiene? Covid-19 is ravaging Brazil presently, and they don't seem to 'care' to manage it. Never again - NOT recommended!

::Conveniently located, but only "English-fluent" when a specific staff-member is on-site, Majestic Rio Palace Hotel offers good value and a convenient Copacabana location but is mis-advertised as relates to the 24/7 Gym that actually opens at 7:00am and closes at 10:00pm.
