  What a great place!! The Maze is a hostel, jazz club and place for an Indian feast (on Sundays). It is a very quirky layout, completely decorated with tile mosaics, and it has a stunning view across the water to Sugarloaf. The hostel facilities are quite basic (it suits the favela setting, but is very safe), but it's worth it for the experience. Bob and Malu are lovely people - very friendly and helpful. Plus breakfast is good!

  Best jazz club in the country. Amazing view, fantastic band and atmosphere.

  The place is a little bit complicated to reach, but has a marvelous view. I was attending to a jazz event that was awesome. I have not stayed for a night there

  a nice place to stay inside a very safe favela in Rio. the location is where the movie Hulk was shot and many other TV series and movies. toi can get there by taxi or moto taxi. the place is owned by a nice British fella named Bob
