  Super small room and the hotel staff make you pay a 50$ fee for having a friend over for an hour

  Worst hotel experience ever. Paper thin walls and doors for a noisy experience, a completely broken mattress that makes you roll out of bed, smallest room with no space to place luggage, dirty towels with yellow spots and holes in them, extremely rude reception, incredibly overpriced.

  Hotel Vermont is an excellent hotel for exploring Rio de Janeiro. The accommodations are solid, the breakfast superior, and the location can't be beat. The staff really tries to assist and that is valuable. I've stayed here 3 times with groups and we have been pleased.
